A Forum on Green Homes: Realizing the Huge Potential for Energy Savings in our Homes

This will include a discussion on the scores of new ideas and technologies now available for renovating present homes and building new ones making them more energy efficient. It will also include a discussion how these new technologies and concepts can revitalize the construction industry and create thousands of new green jobs. This vibrant, community-centered green economy is fast changing the way we live and work, and here is your chance to learn more about it.

Our panelists, all at the cutting edge of this movement, include:
Sharla Riead: Owner of Hathmore Technologies, LLC. She educates builders, developers, homeowners in energy conservation techniques.
Russ Rudy: Has built Energy Star Rated houses and renovated existing houses with energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies.
Kaedden Michael Timi: Founder and Director of Earth Peace Systems. Creating Environmental, Economical & Socially Sustainable Development of Homes, Businesses & Transportation.

The Progressive Party of Missouri (the Missouri state affiliate of the national Green Party) has begun a petition drive to run candidates in the state of Missouri in the upcoming 2008 election. We will need to turn in 10,000 valid signatures by July 29, 2008, which means we will need over 14,000 signatures. We need your help. Petitioning is not hard and you can easily get several pages filled just by asking your friends to sign. If you are willing to help, please download the petition and instructions by clicking the following links. When you have several pages filled, or even one, get them notarized and mail to the address at the bottom of the petition.

PEACE VIGIL EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT, 5-6 PM at 63rd & Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Mo.  Just come with a sign.  This is a small group but there with a lot of joy and positive responses from passers by.  And we are growing every week.  Come and join our peace community.
